Are Crumbl Cookies Vegan?

Let’s talk about Crumbl cookies. Where have you been all this time if you’ve never heard of them? This brand has been around since 2017, its first shop having opened in Utah that year.

In 2020, Crumbl’s fame grew thanks to the constantly changing menu and the brand’s Tik Tok.

So you may be wondering whether there are any vegan options available. After all, cookies are some of the most diverse recipes on the market that can easily be adjusted for vegan consumers.

But unfortunately, you might be waiting a long time for any vegan options for your Crumbl needs.

What Is Crumbl?

Crumbl is a bakery chain that has grown a great deal since 2017, and now has over 300 bakeries in the United States.

It was founded by two cousins in Utah, and has become well-known through their marketing strategy, utilizing Tik Tok and making videos based on how their cookies are made.

What sets Crumbl apart from their competitors is that their menu rotates weekly, so you will never expect the same cookies each week.

They offer both delivery and pick-up in stores, and have become known for their rectangular pink box which has been designed to fit a variety of cookies inside it.

They are constantly developing new flavors, and they always upgrade their recipes.

Not only are they known for their cookies, but nowadays they specialize in various other desserts as well. Along with cookies, you’ll find pies, cakes, and even ice creams.

Crumbl Cookies Aren’t Vegan

You’ve probably looked online and hoped to find some sign saying that Crumbl cookies are vegan, but unfortunately, this isn’t the case.

Crumbl cookies all contain milk, and it is unlikely that they plan to change their recipe to make vegan alternatives in the near future.

Why Aren’t Vegan Options Available?

When it comes to dietary information, it’s revealed on Crumbl’s FAQ page on their website that they don’t intend to introduce vegan options to their menu.

However, this doesn’t mean they have an issue with vegan options in general. They also don’t offer keto, gluten-free, dairy-free, or kosher options either.

These aren’t available due to the open-kitchen concept that Crumbl has. Due to risks of cross-contamination, they would struggle to implement these dietary requirements successfully.

If they could do these options successfully, they would look into these options, but ultimately they can’t offer them in their restaurants because they wouldn’t be able to change the options successfully.

Can You Suggest New Flavors?

While you can suggest new flavors to Crumbl, you may struggle to be heard when it comes to suggesting recipes with dietary modifications.

Occasionally they will offer gluten-free friendly options for those with dietary restrictions. Truthfully, they do request that you suggest certain flavors to them if you want to see a certain flavor.

Currently they aren’t searching directly for vegan alternatives, but they may look into possibilities if there’s a high enough demand for them.

If you do want to see vegan or dairy-free options, then it’s best to contact them with suggestions for recipes, as that will be your best chance to find them.

Overall, Crumbl are very open to communication and will always offer their nutritional information for each recipe.

As there are over 170 flavors available and a rotating menu, it would be a challenge to find successful vegan alternatives.

But contacting Crumbl would be the best option to politely suggest some new alternatives.

Final Thoughts

Unfortunately this isn’t the news you wanted to hear regarding vegan options for Crumbl, that doesn’t mean that all hope is lost for the future.

Due to the open kitchen policy, it would be a challenge for Crumbl to successfully optimize vegan alternatives for their cookies.

However, they do suggest their customers suggest recipes to them.

With over 170 flavors available and the massive growth of their brand, it could be possible that Crumbl could implement new dietary options in the future.

For now though, the search for vegan cookies continues. Thankfully, you can still make cookies in your own home until then.

If you want to find vegan cookies for sale, I would recommend searching for other brands until Crumbl discovers a way to implement vegan and dairy-free alternatives to their weekly rotating menu.
